InnoPen™
Microneedling
We choose our technology based on high standards of safety and effectiveness. We only use medical-grade devices that have scientific evidence and Health Canada Approval.
One of these devices is the InnoPen Microneedling treatment.
WHAT IS InnoPen?
A Health Canada Approved product - the InnoPen is a medical precision tool with a unique, dual spring-loaded disposable needle cartridge (InnoTip) that uses an automated, vibrating stamp-like motion to cause micro injury to the skin.
The InnoPen offers the safest method of collagen induction therapy because it leaves the outer layers of your skin completely intact and undamaged. There is also an option to change needle lengths to customize the medical needling treatment for an individual’s specific condition. It is a virtually painless skin rejuvenation process with minimal to no downtime, and no traumatic side-effects common methods often have.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
You can go back to your normal routine after the treatment, but avoid any strenuous physical activities for a day. You may have some redness and swelling for a few hours, but this is normal and will go away soon. Do not wash your face for two hours after the treatment. Use the hydrating serum to help heal the tiny holes made by the InnoPen.
WHEN DO I SEE THE RESULT?
You will start to see results soon after the first treatment, as your skin heals and makes new collagen and elastin. It may take a month to see the full effect of one treatment. You may need 3 – 4 treatments, depending on your skin problem and how severe it is, to get the best and lasting results
CONTRAINDICATION
Patients with active acne or infections (bacterial, viral, fungal), blood thinner medications, cardiac and collagen vascular diseases, chemotherapy or radiation treatments, or eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis should not undertake microneedling treatment. Significantly, patients with hemophilia/bleeding disorders, keloid scarring, or are pregnant or lactating should not receive this treatment.
WHEN SHOULD I GET IT DONE?
Microneedling makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. You should avoid sun exposure before and after the procedure. To get the best results, you may need 3-5 treatments every 4-6 weeks, plus a maintenance program. The number of treatments depends on your goals and the needle length used. Your skincare professional will help you create a treatment plan for your skin.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Face $200 with 20 mins numbing before the treatment

WHY THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN PRICE?
Not all microneedling devices are safe and authorized by Health Canada. Be careful and ask about the device they use if you want to get microneedling done at a home spa like mine. Many home spas offer microneedling services for less than $100 per session, but they may use unauthorized devices like Dr. Pen Auto Microneedle System, which you can easily buy online from Amazon. This device has been recalled by Health Canada because it may pose health risks such as infection, scarring or allergic reactions.
You can find more information about the recall of Dr. Pen and other devices on Health Canada’s website:
