For 20 years, I’ve cared for others in some of Canada’s most beautiful hotel spas — places like Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Banff Springs and the Hyatt Stillwater Spa. I learned how to deliver true five-star care — but what I didn’t realize then was that one day, I would need that same care myself.
The Journey That Changed Everything
My husband and I spent over 10 years on the road of infertility — IVF after IVF, five heartbreaking losses, and even a surrogate journey that ended in grief. There were moments I didn’t think I’d ever find peace again. My body felt foreign. My heart was heavy.
One day, I turned that pain into purpose. I decided to build something healing — a space where I could pour my love and energy into something that could grow. That’s how Debby’s Boutique Spa, my licensed home spa in Calgary NW, was born.
Every detail of this spa carries intention. The soft light. The calm scent in the air. The flow of treatments that let you rest without interruption.
Even the décor tells a story — each piece chosen to symbolize strength, loss, love, and hope from my own IVF journey. This space became my sanctuary, the place that helped me heal — and now, it’s here to help others do the same.
